Biography
A professional path connecting field experience with educational thinking.
Ümit Özmen’s professional journey developed through physical education studies at Gazi University and experience as a basketball player. His interest in training science deepened through work on children, sport and fundamental movement education.
From licensed playing between 1993 and 2000 to youth coaching, club and project periods in Ankara, İskenderun and İzmir, wheelchair basketball, multi-sport organisations and bilingual authorship, the journey now continues through the future vision of JAS23.
Mission
Physically capable, strong in character and able to carry sport throughout life.
To develop children’s fundamental movement skills in an enjoyable, safe and scientifically informed environment while building cooperation among specialists, families and educators.
